Knitting pattern
Höyry is a simple beanie knitted with 2x2 ribbing. The beanie is knitted from the bottom up, and crown decreases are worked radially. The straight brim of the beanie is folded double. The beanie can be left casually upright on the crown or pulled deeper over the head. This easy basic beanie is a nice everyday garment.
The pattern includes two sizes. The sample is knitted in size S with
PMK alpaca/cotton.
When knitting the beanie with PMK alpaca/merino, choose size M. This yarn stretches and contracts so much that size M is better. This version is shown in the last picture.
When knitting the beanie with two strands held together, choose the size according to your gauge and tension. Choose a DK-weight yarn as the second strand, such as PMK 100% alpaca DK, and for the other strand PMK brushed alpaca/merino or a thin mohair yarn.
