Piia Maria: "My passion for alpaca knits began 20 years ago in the Netherlands. At that time, I designed industrial knits and was looking for an alternative to wool blend yarns that would pill and become shabby. My encounter with alpaca yarns was love at first sight. The superior quality characteristics of alpaca wool – its softness, sheen, breathability, drape, and durability – are a designer's dream. Alpaca knits simply turn out wonderful.

My path led me through many twists and turns to Fiskars, and now here I am. My own alpaca knit collection has taken its first steps. Anyone can knit a PMK knit themselves. You just buy the yarn and the pattern. But, if you're all thumbs or don't have the time, you can now also order a ready-knitted garment."

PMK alpaca knits are handmade in Finland. Every stitch lovingly binds the precious natural fibers of the Andes' treasure into a durable and timeless garment that will bring you joy for a long time. The collection of customizable knits will expand in the coming months.
